Tis the season to be jolly

We had a real busy Dec this year.

First of all, I attended 4 weddings ~ my cousin Hui, my colleague Audrey, sandbox's uni house mate Hooi, and my course mate Calvin all decided to tie the knot this month.
Hooi's wedding was on Christmas Eve at Penang, while Calvin's wedding was on Christmas day.
So, sandbox & I had to rush back early Christmas morning from Penang.
Despite the big hole in our wallet, it was a precious experience to share these happy moments with each and every couples.

We actually went to Penang 2 days earlier to do some year end shopping. We had a great & memorable time with our friends that we have not met for years. Most of them already have kids, if not two then at least one. It was such an amazing thing to see them in their juniors. The wonder of DNA.
Thanks to Hooi, who picked us up from the airport, sent us to the hotel & dropped us off at Queensbay Mall for our shopping.
Appreciate Pheing's time to show us around Penang, let us stayed at his condo the last night in order to sent us to the airport early next morning.
Special thanks to Wee, who sent us to Pheing's condo after Hooi's wedding dinner, as he had to rush back to Alor Setar after that.

There was also the annual Christmas Dinner we had with our group of close friends. This year is a bit sad, as our friend Winnie will be leaving for Singapore soon. We had our dinner at Carvery, next to Tun Jugah. Then came the usual gift exchange. Sis happened to be home this time and joined the fun. This year, redsponge also let Cola join in the gift exchange by preparing the present for him beforehand. Being parents is really not an easy task.

Tis the season to be jolly...
Happy Wedding, Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!!!

2nd Scan

Yesterday sandbox brought me to the clinic for the 2nd ultrasound scan.
Baby has now doubled the size of the previous scan. This time sandbox saw Baby moving his arms and legs, he did not see Baby waving at us during the 1st scan.
As now is the first week of the 2nd Trimester, the Crown Rump Length (CRL) measurement from the head to bottom is no longer accurate as the baby can curl or stretch. The Biparietal Diameter (BPD), which is the width of the head, was measured instead.

Week:13
Biparietal Diameter (BPD): 2.61cm

Dear Baby,
Daddy just informed Grandma about you. She told daddy & mummy to take good care of you.
Christmas is just around the corner. Let's go to check out the pretty Christmas trees recommended by Aunty TYT tonight =)

Haywire Tastebud

This week marks Week 12.

In terms of pregnancy symptoms:
1) There was no morning sickness at all
2) Will automatically doze off before 11pm every night
3) Slightly bigger tummy, tighter pants and urgently need to get larger clothes
4) Constipated if did not drink sufficient water, or get enough fruits / vege
5) Last but not least, a haywire tastebud.

I was never picky on food, but now I am extremely picky.
There is not a clue what I will be able to gulp down every meal, so I had trouble eating home-cooked food. There may be 4 to 5 types of dishes cooked by my family, and when I get home from work, there may be only 1 dish that I am able to eat.

It is better when we eat out, at least I can choose on the spot. But my choice of food has gone haywire. I am not a big fan of noodle. But I started ordering all types of noodle with iced milk tea. This is not me at all, this is sandbox! He is the one who likes all kinds of noodle with iced milk tea.

When there is craving for a certain food, it has to be the exact taste that I am used to. For example, I like porridge with the canned meat paste. But I bought the wrong brand and the taste was all wrong. sandbox said there was no difference, but for me, it was sweeter while the usual one I used to eat was saltier.

I have been searching for the Post Selects Blueberry Morning cereal for weeks. I used to eat this cereal in the morning before class during my University life. Finally I found it at Choice Daily, and couldn't wait to open it up the very next morning.

Oh well, as the old saying says, these are all part of the fun and trouble of life. Just go along with it, and don't missed the flowers along the journey =)
